Biography
Mr. Bashir Ahammed has been currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the World University of Bangladesh since January 8, 2026. He completed both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Chittagong, achieving a CGPA of 3.95* in his M.Sc. and 3.80 in his B.Sc., where he secured 2nd position among 62 graduates, demonstrating strong academic performance and consistency.Â
Mr. Ahammed has been involved in research as a research assistant and has been awarded the prestigious ICT Division Research Fellowship from the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, for his postgraduate research work. He was also a recipient of the NST Fellowship, recognizing his strong research potential.
His research interests span wireless communication, antenna technologies for 5G/6G systems, microwave imaging, THz antennas, metamaterials (AMCs), and the integration of AI in microwave imaging.
