Short Biography:

S. M. Sajjad Hossain Rafin received his M.Sc. degree in Electronic Systems Engineering in 2014 from Hanyang University, South Korea. During his M.Sc. study, he also worked as a research assistant at Energy Conversion Systems Lab. After his M.Sc. graduation, he started working as a full-time researcher during 2014-15 at the Industry-University Cooperation Foundation, Hanyang University, South Korea. Apart from being an academician, he worked as an electrical engineering consultant for Reed Consulting Bangladesh Ltd., where he played a major part in two World Bank, IFC-SEDF projects. Later, he worked at APLOS Global ltd. as an Electrical Engineering Consultant and Project Manager. His major area of interests are in the emerging discipline of power electronics especially as applied to variable speed operation of ac machines using different circuit topologies- in particular, novel AC-AC power converter, matrix converter, and DC-AC power converter topologies.
